Which class is right for me?
Homeschool Ballet is designed for children ages 6 and up who are comfortable in a multi-age, multi-level learning environment. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of classical ballet technique as well as explore dance history, anatomy and choreography.
Youth/Teen Ballet: This class is designed to accommodate recreational dancers wanting fun, fitness, sport and camaraderie! Ballet is the foundation for all dance forms and is also widely used as cross-training/injury prevention for athletes. Students will work on body placement, efficient movement and range of motion, posture, and alignment. Classes follow the structure and discipline of traditional ballet training and also strive to impart a love of dance and joy of movement in each student.
Adult Beginner Ballet is ideal for those who have never studied ballet or who studied as a child and wish to re-familiarize themselves with the art form. Dancers can expect to learn fundamental movements, vocabulary and traditions associated with classical ballet.
Open Level Adult Ballet classes will ultimately be taught to the level of whoever is enrolled, but will include more repetition, a faster pace and more exercises than Adult Beginner. This weekly class is ongoing for the entire Academic Year.
Drop In Class Card Students of appropriate age and ability may choose to attend Advanced Division or Open Division classes on a drop-in basis (pending space in the class). Drop-in students are not eligible to
participate in the Class Concert and students 18 & under must abide by the dress code for each class they attend. Please email us at [email protected] to arrange a placement class.
